If you want to be listed as an available foster or adopter, please contact admin to be added to the group. (You cannot post to this section of the forum until you are added)
When posting your availability, please answer the following questions so that animals seeking homes can be appropriate for your situation!
Your Post title should read: "State, City, Foster or Adopt, Type of animals you can foster/adopt" IE: Arizona, Phoenix, Foster, Cats
1. City & State you live in
2. Do you have young children?
3. Do you currently have other pets or fosters? (if so, how many and what kind)
4. How many animals are you able to foster (can you take pairs of animals so they aren't split up)
5. Will the animal(s) be kept indoors or outdoors, or both?
6. Please confirm that you are financially able to take on the care & vet costs and put in the time to care for the number of animals you foster.
7. If the animals are not spayed/neutered, will you do so?
8. Do you plan to de-claw any foster animals?
9. Do you have experience with animals with special health needs / behavioral issues / ferals?
10. Would you be fostering or providing a forever home?
11. If you are fostering, are you comfortable finding a safe forever home for the animal?
12. Does anyone in your home have animal allergies / not like animals?
Please keep in mind that this is a network to bring together foster/forever homes and animals in need. Surrendering pet owners should visit the potential foster home, and determine if they feel their animal will be given a safe home there. Fosters & pet owners should be safe and meet for the first time in a neutral public location to ensure safety of both parties!
****By using this foster network you agree that forum admin are not liable for any problems or risks involved with fostering animals or meeting with other forum members.****
**** When offering to be a foster, remember that there is always a possibility that you cannot get the pet adopted into a forever home. Be prepared to potentially keep that pet for the rest of its life. Please don't offer to foster if you aren't willing to commit to the animal! ****
****Any reports that a foster is penning animals outdoors or subjects animals to unsafe conditions will result in their removal from the foster list.****
